Alkahfi Islamic School (AIS) was established in Batam, Indonesia, under the Alkahfi Islamic Foundation in 2012. The school initially operated from Carnaval Mall (Now is One Batam Mall), offering kindergarten and elementary school programs.
During this period, AIS focused on refining its curriculum to blend Islamic values with national education standards. This approach resonated with the community, leading to significant growth in student enrollment.
The increasing number of students necessitated a larger campus. In 2015, AIS relocated to the Superblock Imperium complex. This move allowed for further expansion and better facilities to accommodate the growing student body.
A significant milestone was achieved in 2016 when AIS obtained operational permits for its elementary, junior high, and senior high school programs. This marked a crucial step in solidifying the school's position in the educational landscape.
AIS's commitment to providing a comprehensive education was further realized in 2019. The school secured operational permits for its kindergarten and playgroup programs, completing its educational spectrum from early childhood to high school.
